Jack and Sallys children Characterdesign

So, this idea was in my head for a long time, but I hadn´t the time and courage to work on it... Well, here it ist finally.. I always wanted to make a "sequel-comic" of Tim Burtons "Nightmare before christmas"... The story is simple, similar to the original with a few new added features...
Still not sure if I should draw/tell this story... Since I´m a huge Burton-Fan I don´t want to piss him, or other fans off...
What do you think? Are the characters "goof enough" to work with?
